This is how you can help:

We are offering a discount of 10 per cent on any books you buy for children for this purpose. We will also accept used books in excellent condition. Just come and choose a book or books (or bring them to us) by 23 April, and we will pass them on to the Children’s Centre.

World Book Night 23 April – help us get more books to children

World Book Night is about sharing the love of reading with people who, for whatever reason, don’t read for pleasure or own books. Reading for pleasure is a globally recognised indicator in a huge range of social issues from poverty to mental health. Getting the reading habit young can make such a difference to a child’s development, so we are teaming up with the Crediton Children’s Centre to get books where they are needed. See what you can do to help below.

What CCB members are doing for WBN...

Four Bookshop committee members have succeeded against stiff competition in becoming voluntary givers of special World Book Night editions, and are giving these away through various outlets in the town. You can, if you wish, still sign up as a World Book Night Community Book Giver. There’s no need to do so in order to help us get more books to children.
